"Chemistry is a very important part of every party, just as it is for every automobile development project. Organisers usually do their best to put the right people in front of one another but the rest is up to the individual participants. After my second experience with the E.N.G. Automotive Design Summit, I must admit that the participants indeed produced the success of the event, but thanks to the special climate specifically designed for designers. The very nature of these hyper creative professionals tends to dislike the TV ad-style presentations of the "look-what-I-did" speakers in favour of "how's" or better still, the "why's". This year in fact, the two day event was highlighted by two immersive brainstorming sessions where the participants actually became the speakers, airing their thoughts and discussing common difficulties throughout the profession. The end result was a wonderful opportunity for top design professionals and students to confront their peers with those burning issues that we all find in our daily jobs.
A sincere thank you to E.N.G. for providing such a rich cultural context in which creatives from around the world can come and feel like protagonists, regardless if they are behind the podium. Truly an innovative conference, for truly innovative individuals."
